A Work Package 1 meeting took place on February 7th and each team reported substantial developments and progress. A number of joint projects are coming to fruition with publications submitted or in preparation. Several long term technical developments that will impact future research in UPDICE, e.g. LIDS source and tr X-ray transient absorption capabilities, were also reported to have made substantial progress. Intermediate term future plans for impacts on other Work Packages and Cross-cutting Activities were discussed, as were upcoming XFEL beamtime proposals.
