Welcome to the website of UPDICE – Ultrafast Photochemical Dynamics In Complex Environments

UPDICE is a multi-centre, EPSRC-funded programme grant that will use cutting-edge ultrafast laser spectroscopy methods and quantum dynamical simulations to explore the photochemistry of molecules of biological and atmospheric significance on femtosecond and picosecond timescales.

The UPDICE team, led by the University of Bristol, is composed of Andrew Orr-Ewing, Basile Curchod and Tom Oliver (University of Bristol), Helen Fielding and Graham Worth (UCL), Jon Marangos (Imperial College), and Mark Brouard and Claire Vallance (Oxford).
