The UPDICE consortium held its two-day summer meeting at Imperial College from 9 – 10 August 2023.  Scientific presentations by the postdocs and postgraduate students described progress on our collaborative projects from both experimental and theoretical perspectives.  We were delighted to be joined in-person by Prof Dan Neumark (UC Berkeley), Prof Martina Havenith (Ruhr University Bochum) and Prof Irene Burghardt (Goethe University Frankfurt), and online by Prof Toshi Suzuki (Kyoto University).  The photograph shows the participants gathered on the steps of the Royal Albert Hall.

The UPDICE meeting was followed by an exciting afternoon of talks by Professors Havenith, Neumark, and Burghardt in a special public event for London Light named ‘Symposium on Advances in Photochemistry’, organized by Jon Marangos and Helen Fielding.
